When imagining Southern California, most people think of celebrity –spotting and gorgeous beaches. But the reality is that So-Cal is incredibly polarized, with millions of people living in poverty and “working poverty”, where multiple members of a family are employed but still fail to make a sufficient living. From our campus (UCLA & UC San Diego dorms), we’ll work with Food Bank of Southern California assisting in the collection, sorting, storage and distribution of nutritious food. We will also assist Habitat for Humanity and Ronald McDonald’s House. In addition to helping others out we will also enjoy the city life of Los Angeles and San Diego. If you decide to travel with us for 28 days you’ll visit Big Bear Lake in the beautiful San Bernadino Mountains. Speed down the alpine slide, go for a spin in a go-cart, and challenge friends to a round of mini-golf.
Certificate for 60 hours service and lisiting projects accomplished is issued upon compeletion for our 21 day program and 80 hours of community service will be awarded for our 28 day program upon completion.
