École Suisse de Langues - Ascona offers teens from throughout the world Italian and English courses combined with an active recreation program. At École Suisse de Langues, we believe in conversational language study. We encourage our students to use the foreign language not only in the lessons, but also during activities and excursions. Courses
École Suisse de Langues offers English and Italian courses during the Summer, in July and August. Students choose between standard courses (20 lessons per week) or intensive courses (25 lessons per week), with a particular stress on the oral communication. Courses are adapted to all levels allowing each student to improve grammatical and conversational skills while developing written and spoken ability.
Recreation Activities
Language programs combine studies with sport & outdoor activities, excursions, and relaxation. We travel around and on Lake Lago Maggiore and explore the many museums and historic sites such as the Swiss Modern Art Museum in Lugano or the Three Castles of Bellinzona. Other activities include tennis, street hockey, soccer, trips to the beach, water sports, horse riding, and much more.
Location
In Ascona, our residential course center is centrally located in a modern private college, connected to an old monastery of the 16th century. The former fishermen's village of Ascona has become one the most beautiful swimming resort of the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. The specific climate of this region encourage to the "Dolce-Vita", while enjoying sun at the Lido or practicing water sports.
