Since 1922, Menogyn has been providing safe, fun and enriching wilderness trips in one of the country’s most beautiful places - the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Menogyn is in the heart of Canoe Country, where you will hear the call of the loon and the wind through the pines, breathe in the dew-washed air while gracefully traveling through this forest community. All of us at camp welcome the chance to share this experience with you. In a world all too eager to promote instant gratification, Menogyn has, for 82 years, offered a refreshing alternative – the value of real growth in a safe, supportive, yet very wild environment. It is growth that is earned slowly, shared joyously and that will last indefinitely!
At Menogyn we've been providing transformational experiences in a wilderness setting since 1922, emphasizing personal growth, quality and relationships. We have a progression of trips that your camper may choose to participate in. Each step in the progression will build on the previous adventure's skills and personal growth.
There is no "right"way to travel through the progression. Your campers' trail counselor(s) will recommend the next step after each summer's adventure. Encourage your camper to talk about it with you, and with his/her counselor at camp. Please feel free to call us if you have questions or want to get in touch with your camper's counselor.
