Description:
The Cambridge Experience prepares students for the transition to college by giving them a taste of life as a Cambridge University undergraduate and the chance to experience the living, breathing culture of England. Our small community of students from all over the world is based at the university’s Corpus Christi College, with the charming and intriguing town of Cambridge just outside the gates. In this setting, you’ll make great new friends, indulge your curiosity, and take advantage of intimate cultural exposure, while the program also facilitates a wide range of activities and fantastic excursions.
The charm of Cambridge lies not just in the academic reputation of the university and the splendor of its buildings but also in its natural surroundings, green open spaces, fairy-tale cobbled streets, and charming cafés, boutiques and businesses. Shop or watch the spectacle of the crowd in the narrow lanes or main market square, or enjoy the tranquility of the courts within the colleges or “The Backs” lining the River Cam. Beyond natural and architectural beauty, the Cambridge is home to excellent museums and thriving cultural life. The town’s location allows for multiple trips to some of the best sites both in London and the surrounding countryside, including Brighton, Canterbury, and Dover.
As a student at The Cambridge Experience, you will explore the treasures of Cambridge and England while gaining the academic and residential experience to prepare you for college. The great friends you’ll meet and the amazing things you’ll learn, see, and do will make this summer adventure abroad one you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
